The idea of creating K.IBROW emerged from the times when I hung out at my place having a nice chat while helping them trim their eyebrows. Their satisfied faces in the mirror afterwards, and the compliments they received from those around them, made me gradually fall in love with trimming others’ eyebrows. As my friends sought me to trim their eyebrows more and more frequently, I had an epiphany on 4th February 2021 and decided to help more people trim their brows. K.IBROW was thus born the day after.
“Futile are means to clear the head of sentiments so blue. One may loosen the brow, only to find the heart in sorrow drowns.”
Eyebrows are important parts of our facial features, but they are often ignored. They reveal one’s emotions, temperament and personalities. Eyebrows that are messy and sparse have to be trimmed without a doubt. I’ve also seen many people who don’t know how to take care of their eyebrows and wasted such a good pair of eyebrows gifted to them.

“Soft things always happen in soft places”
This is a lyric from the song ‘Guan Yi Bei’, which is often ‘taken out of context’ to represent K.IBROW’s belief. I hope to make KIB become a soft and gentle place by not only making it become a ‘professional brow trimming’ studio but also a place for beautiful people to be involved and good things to happen.
I have experienced a lot of changes during my journey. At first, I only had 3-5 bookings per week and the number has risen to 20 bookings per day. I encountered two times when the beauty industry was suspended. I had to provide homebound trimming services during the suspension. I moved from a tiny 60-foot studio to a much more spacious place. What remains unchanged is that I still cherish everyone I have met throughout my journey, and I remain hopeful of bringing out the best to let everyone witness more of a better KIB.
